Nursing is a profession that is diverse in its practice and universally valued.  Each year we rank highly as one of the most ethical professions, indicating widespread community support for and appreciation of the work the nursing team does. 

This reputation is both hard-earned and greatly valued by the nursing team.  Nurses and care staff have walked a long, hard road to ensure that working conditions and opportunities reflect the esteem in which we are held by the community and the true value of our work. 

ANF (Tas Branch) continues to lobby for improved conditions, safe staffing and workloads, fair pay, conditions and entitlements.  ANF also assists and represents members with individual workplace issues or issues of a professional matter. 

The ANF is the only union which specialises in supporting nurses, midwives and care staff, both industrially and professionally, and the conditions, pay levels and career structure in Tasmania has been hard-won over many years by ANF members.
